I've been impatiently waiting new sounds from Drape since the release of their Evensongs EP 3 years ago. This did not disappoint me. The warm nervous buzz of their earlier work has given way to a condensed gentle sound that feels like coming home. I miss the longer form songs, but these tracks slide so easily from ear to ear that they can be put on repeat for hours without wearing out their welcome. Look for their next release, Let There Water Air, on Infraction Records sometime this year.
